Cry Out in Faith!
Even if I summoned him and he responded, I do not believe he would give me a hearing. - Job 9:16
Sometimes life beats us down so bad we feel the way Job felt when he spoke these words about God.
Job went through a terrible time of tragedy, losing all of his material possessions, his children, and his health. To him it seemed as if God had gone silent. Job became so despondent that he felt it was not even worth the effort to pray because God would not hear him anyway. This is real life. Sometimes it feels that way and in those times we are free to acknowledge such feelings but on the other hand it is not a place we can stay. We must cry out to God in faith believing that in Jesus Christ that God hears our prayers, stands in solidarity with us through his sufferings and death, and ultimately brings healing to those places in our lives that are broken and full of pain. Be encouraged friend and cry out to God because “the prayer of a righteous man avaleth much.” (James 5:16).
